information

Where does information clash with intuition? Do I know when to let facts go, to release details, snippets of the written word, spouted truth?

So dominated by information, we've tricked ourselves into believing it's the only means to knowledge. In the process, we've forgotten about intuition, cosmic connection, mystical awareness.

I notice the tightening of my gut. I listen to the skips and jolts of my heart. I taste my feelings as food for thought..... like a muscle, using my intuition enough, it becomes a source of strength.

The sage observes the world but trusts his inner vision.
He allows things to come and go.
His heart is open as the sky.
Tao te Ching, Chp 12

The lunar eclipse today asks us to balance details and information, with the bigger picture and trust.
Do you ever become stuck in one or the other?

  1. oh lordy....i sometimes feel like i'm spinning in circles over this. i KNOW i have a very astute and powerful intuition but years and years and years of ignoring can make it so very difficult to hear and then untangle from the outer noise of the World of Knowledge. i think i'm improving my listening skills....lol

ooooh! must email directly....i've tried instagram but can't quite get into it....

  2. Oh monica, I so know what you're talking about. being a higly intuitive soul, it is tough to trust & to sychronize my brain and my guts. sometimes, when managing it, these are the most perfect moments.

    1. yes, it's that synching isn't it? many times it's easier to sway one way or the other.

it's actually listening and following that can be tricky for us.

  4. I think most women are highly intuitive, but it has been dismissed for YEARS by patriarchy. We're constantly told that our feelings, our intuitions, are silly and useless. The result is we've pushed those moments aside, not paying attention to them. I really believe it has gotten us into trouble. We need to make those connections with the very important parts of ourselves, again. Embrace them, trust them. Finding a balance can be helpful, but I will always trust my intuition more.

I haven't heard of WhatsApp. I like the sound of it, a personal group of kindreds. Will check it out, may be emailing you later. :)

    and photos.
about intuition...i am working on getting more in tune with mine, getting closer to it.
    it is a challenge! again!
the closer i live to nature, the more i become aware of my inner rhythm, the voice of my heart, the needs of my body, for instance.

    xxx.

    1. yes!!! being out of touch with nature is a BIG factor in loss of intuition.

  6. How did listening to someone else's truth become easier than listening to our own? For me times are so busy and swirly and so much turmoil in people and our planet that sometimes it is hard to go to a place where my intuition is acknowledged. Working on making it more of a priority, thanks for reminding me.

  7. I trust my intuition and still I lose touch with it when I'm in love. I give away too much to others I think.

    1. phew, oh boy yes. whether with a boyfriend, spouse, relative, or casual acquaintance, the moment we feel vulnerable and insecure, we can be left floundering.

  8. Oh yes, yes and yes... :) Reminds me of the famous Steve Jobs' quote from a commencement address he gave;not taking on another's truth, or following another's path, but reclaiming our own path, our own voice; and to experience life and the Truth of Being *directly*... Lovely reminder! Thanks :)

    1. yes! any time we take on someone else's information, we're veering off OUR path. it all has to be sifted through our internal, er, sifter.

  9. I have learned to embrace my intuition, especially self healing, spiritually as well physically. It is such an amazing gift that we all have, if we choose to tap into it. Paying attention to herbs and natural medicines and rituals that my body and mind are drawn to without intellectual over analyzing it. The more you use it and come to trust it, the more easily accessible it becomes.

  10. How to find a nice marriage between the two, yes, that would be nice. It seems that the only way I get better at trusting my intuition is learning from the mistakes when I don't listen hehe...

Whatsapp...never heard of it but I just plugged instagram on my site today! I am really enjoying it, but I do like the idea of creating groups. I'm in :).

  12. I try so hard to tune into my intuition, it is hard, and seems to get harder. I find when I can seek some time alone, usually in nature, I can hear it so much clearer.

  14. You make some really thought-provoking points here, Monica and (as ever) in a wonderful way that hits the mind and spirit on a number of levels.
Intuition powerfully challenges predominant mantra of the modern western world; empiricism, with its emphasis on establishing evidence and 'facts.' Perhaps that is why it is treated with so much scorn and perhaps that is why it can be so difficult to hear and follow it.
